Here you will find useful information, which will help you to become familiar with the work of the State Commission for decision-making in the second instance in the field of inspection supervision and misdemeanor procedure and its placement in the legal system of the Republic of North Macedonia. The State Commission is an independent state body with the capacity of a legal entity and is composed of a president, a deputy president and five members, appointed by the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia, with a mandate of 5 years. For the work of the State Commission and for their own work, the president and members are accountable to the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia. The goal of the State Commission is to create an efficient system of legal protection, through timely and legal resolution of complaints.

The State Commission for decision-making in the second instance in the field of inspection supervision and misdemeanor procedure is accountable for resolving appeals against decisions made in the first instance in the inspection procedure. From 01.01.2021 in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Misdemeanor ("Official Gazette of the Republic of North Macedonia" no. 96/19).

The State Commission is not competent to act on appeals against decisions on misdemeanors that have been made by a misdemeanor authority, when it is prescribed by law to decide in misdemeanor proceedings. In the procedure for resolving complaints, the State Commission applies the provisions of the Law on General Administrative Procedure and the Law on Inspection Supervision, unless otherwise regulated by law.
